    4.0ltr v8 CPS

    after having looked on the Rave CD i am still unable to find the location of the crank position sensor on my D2a 4.0ltr V8.
    i found what looks like it behind the harmonic balancer but the new one i have is different in that it has a pin coming out of the end of it.it also has a total length about 5mm longer with the pin.
    a point in the right direction either on the rave CD or a description of the location would be most appreciated.
    this will save a lot of cranial damage from banging head on garage floor in frustration

    rave Cd

    its on page 460 and 469 in my copy of rave.
    it's located on the rear of the block under cylinder number 7

    i went back to my Rave CD and it contains Auto transmission items on those pages you quoted.
    so maybe my rave is out of date or not for my vehicle year 2004.
    I'll order another one of a later year publication.
    would some one out there be able to point me in the right direction
