Sorry Roger, only seeing this now. ThankS for the offer. Carefully ripped the clips off and replaced with thin screw type hose clamps. Did the trick. Wasn't too bad - for me. Since also done 1 window regulator - the rest will be easy, when they go! Cars going beaut.
