its not too hard to remove, mine had algae so the jets were blocking up.
if you remove the trim from below the head light you should get access to the mounting bolts, the neck will stay in place and is sealed by a oring
Roger
Some advice please
For a while now my washer jets have been continually blocking up and leaving white deposits on the bonnet & scuttle trim after use. I presume it's either remnants of the windscreen washer additive crystallising out of the solution or calcium scale from the hard-ish water we have up here.
In other cars, pulling the reservoir out and giving it a clean has been fairly simple, but with the long filler neck, the D2 looks a bit awkward. As a alternative, can I lever the pumps out of the bottom of the tank and flush through, or will I need to take the whole thing out to do it properly?
If I do take the pumps out, what are the chances of them sealing properly once refitted?
Thanks in advance
Mike

What about using a de-scaler solution? Just a thought, might save having to remove the washer bottle?
Descaler
When I lived in a very hard water area in the UK, my Dad used to fill the iron up from a rain water butt. Maybe you could set up something similar (If you get rain where you live)

Mine was starting to smell really skanky for a whie so I put in a vinegar/warm water solution, let it sit for a bit & then drained (out the bottom). Repeated a couple of times & all was good.
Turned out to be a combinations of things, the algae Roger mentioned and some scale as well.
However when the reservoir came out it, was clear the sun (through the gap between the bull bar and the bodywork), has worked its magic on the plastic and a section just crumbled away at my touch.
I've covered it with a piece of bike inner tube & silastic for now, but I'll be looking for a new/secondhand washer bottle...on the upside, I also got my RH bullbar indicator working - hasn't for years - thanks to a crappy Scotch clip that was used when the bar was fitted, put some new coat hanger wire on the exhaust
, methinks the exhaust won't sit right until I replace the engine mounts anyway, finally refitted my acoustic shell and discovered by accident that the car has an ERPS, tucked away in the corner of the engine bay. Seven years and I had no idea it was there
.
Must be time for a beer

Was it necessary to flush the lines out as well ? Over the past couple goes I have tried cleaning the jets with vinagar and CLR but within a few uses they clog up again. Might be a good idea to try flushing the tank today myself. Thanks for the thread and prompting me to get onto this.
Hi Trog
Not sure yet...I've left the silastic repair overnight to dry, so haven't yet refilled the tank. I did try blowing through the pipes in both directions with no luck, but not sure if they're blocked or have valves in them somewhere.
Going to fill shortly so I'll let you know how it goes.
Cheers

there is a non return valve in the line near the jets and mine blocked up with algae and that's why I had to clean out the bottle. a new hose kit its only around $25 I think but you may be able to clean them out.
Roger
For good measure we blew out the jets and non return valves with compressed air. A bit of black sludge , but also some fine grit. Also took the headlight pump off and rinsed out the bottle in situ. Again some sludge and grit. To finish the lines were purged and touch wood all seems fine.
I found a set of non return valves were cheaper to source from a garden centre , as they are used in the DIY irrigation systems.
