Late last year I had a new transfer case built by Ashcroft Transmissions and fitted by the local Land Rover mechanic in Rocky.
The new case has the CDL internals and I have a new lever assembly ready to go in at some stage.
The issue I am having, is that there does not appear to be any wiring for the CDL switch.
Has anyone else updated their 2002 to CDL and if so, where is the wire or what did you have to do to wire the CDL switch in?

I found a forum post on www.4x4community.co.za relating to a 2002 D2 specifically, it appears that the plugs may not be in the harness under the car and you need to put wires in from Pin 7 on connector 0681 under the centre console behind the window switches, I have not looked on RAVE yet to confirm this.
The wires can be placed on the switch in any order as it is only a single circuit, the circuit is closed when the switch is activated by the CDL mechanism and the dash light illuminated as well as the signal going to the SLABS ECU. This is done by the two wires out of PIN 7 on connector 0668 (joins 0681) under the centre console.
When I pull apart the centre console for the shifter install I will see what is what and hopefully get it all sorted as it is meant to.
Mine is a 2001 build with the CDL but no lever. I have crawled under and activated the CDL. It workes because my wife drove it without asking me, while I had the front tail shaft out. No lights or anything on the dash though. I am yet to check with Nanocom to see if it's being seen.
Happy Days.
Shorting the black/blue wire at the BCU to earth should bring up the lamp. If it does, there is a problem with the switch or switch wiring. I replaced a faulty switch on mine recently. All good now.

I did an installation such as yours just last month. I found the CDL wires in the loom on the driver's side of the transmission tunnel. The two wires complete with connectors were just poking out of the loom about an inch or so. All I need to do was plug them into the CDL switch and the dashboard lamp lit up immediately the CDL was activated.
Ten.
