Why would the leads fail like that?
Perhaps something electronic (sensor/ coil pack etc) or fuel related, but leads typically only fail at high rpm.
Guys
Went to grab fish and chips for dinner tonight and the 2003 V8 would not accelerate and started to pop from the exhaust and heaps of smoke its an automatic when I put it into first about 3000 rpm we could drive but at low revs it just wouldn't run well I believe it could be the spark plug leads?
Any feed back would be good before I go buy new leads and try the mammoth task of changing them over.![]()

could be the crank angle sensor warning you---

Try the O2 sensors, If 1 is bad it will be sending the ECU into a hissy fit!
Cheers Scott
My boys put diesel in a unleaded fuel can 20lt and I didn't check and put in the car . So diesel does not work as a unleaded replacement fuel who would have guessed.
will diesel and pulp mix?
separate overnight?
