Yes d3 wheels bolt straight into a d3. Onto a d2, you will need different wheel nuts.
Hi, wondering if it is possible for D3 wheels to bolt straight onto D3's? Are they the same offset? Has anyone fitted any? pics of any fitted?
You will also need a ring that goes onto the hub spigot to adapt the spigot size to suit the D3 wheel. I think it is D3 wheel nuts that you use, the studs are the same thread type. There is a slightly different offset, I can't recall what it is exactly, do a search on here, but I think they sit the track a few mm wider than with D2/P38a wheels.
Cheers

Here's a pic for you.
I'm pretty sure this guy runs 30mm spacers with the wheels.
I have D3 wheels on one of my D2's
you need a spacer for the centres that goes onto the hub
all 4 hubs the same otherwise the wheels won't centre properly
the spacer dimensions are 70mmID & 73.25OD x 15mm wide with a slight bevel on both outer edges.i made mine out of Aliminium tube like bull bar tube.
clean the hubs up with emery paper as they should be a firm fit.
about the nuts I'm not sure as mine came with the nuts to suit the wheels.
cheers
