That's the inertia switch.
The injectors weren't removed were they (for seals?) and put back out of order and so not coded?

not sure if this will help, but mine would nto start fairly often with the M+S flashing switches. or would be stuck in first if it did start. but after looking underneath near the XYZ switch, there is a little clip thing that keeps the selector lever in place. mine moves. only needs to be a mm out, and it is enough to make mine wig out, flash those lights and not start or not be in right gear. every time i pull it out and put it back on it fixes it straight away. so maybe worth looking at the little clip thing as well. might not be the problem you are having but cannot hurt :)
Check the xyz wiring loom where it passes through the metal clamp on top off transfer case. Had one with similar symptoms, took ages to track down. It had rubbed through and shorted two wires together. You will need to clear faults with a Nanocom if it is this problem. Best of luck.
Does anyone know the outcome of all the above?
bastards! someones ripped out the last page!!:p
It would be nice if people who ask for help actually close the thread with the result or fix - to add to the knowledge base and out of courtesy.
