I have ordered WJP 108110 from Rovercraft in Perth and now waiting waiting in WA. I think it makes sense to order the whole loom as the labour is the same, and once in the insurance system one has to just pay up.
That is not only problem in kununurra as the RAC recovery mob destroyed my McHitch tapered pinAKA towball by stripping the thread and snapping off the top bolt. Takes talent to do that.
So looks like WA means " wait awhile" even more so.

NRMA premium is picking up the tab for a renter, accommodation, etc.

This is a VERY short version of the untold frustration of dealing with AHEM let's say lower intelligence persons. I double check every detail and found today that the recovery mob had ordered the McHitch part from a local company who ordered from a Perth company who would not cannibalize a stock unit so expected delivery in 1to 2 weeks.
I hit the roof and gave the recoverers the phone number for mc Guinness in Perth who had some parts on hand.
    regards Philip A

    Smile Fuel line repair

Phillip, sorry to hear about about your drama. In the same situation, and in the Kimberley, I used some fuel injection hose and four hose clamps to substitute for the abraded and leaking line. That was 4 years ago. I should get around to repairing it with the replacement part (YNI 500030K). The EFI hose is slightly smaller than standard delivery hose and is a neater fit.

    Cheers

Thanks Pierre , funny I always used to carry a bit of injection hose in my RRC but not the D2. I have kept a bit of the pipe and will get a bit of hose to fit , however it may never happen again as the mechanic wrapped the hose in foam tape.
I was pretty loathe to cut the pipe as if the mechanic at el Questro didn't have any pipe I was stuffed, and he said he didn't.

It only took 2 days to get a new set of pipes from rovacraft

It is all OK and back on the road with the only questionmark that the mechanic broke one of the front tank mount bolts that are attached to a steel bar and replaced them with just normal bolts. This shouldn't be a problem, but I may get a steel bar when I get home.
I am still stuck in Kununurra as the RAC recovery mob destroyed my Mc Hitch towing pin by stripping the 3/4 thread and also breaking off the top pull down bolt . Takes talent. They ordered one locally and the wrong one arrived Friday . I got them to order one also from mc hitch directly and it should arrive Monday.
Went to Wyndham today and the wetlands are superb.
    Regards Philip A

Very astute of you to take out NRMA premium, would have to the best value ever...when you need it!We used the equivalent RAC last year to recover to Derby.Hope the fishing is good up there, can recommend the boat tour from Kununurra to Argyle dam.

Hope it's not seen as a hijack...

Phillip, which direction are you going - west or east?
