    Single DIN 7" headunit

    Hi

My std headunit has a crappy radio reception so I think its time to replace and found this on ebay with bluetooth, gps, etc.

Anyone have installed one of these on D2 or do you think it will fit.

I can't imagine you'll be happy with the quality. Check out the local specials/sales at your local car parts stores. You should be able to find a Clarion brand unit for only $100.00 more.

Not sure the reception will necessarily get much better with the replacement. Is there a fault with your antenna perhaps or the connection loose/disconnected?

Not just the reception is not good but the cd is also not good. It saya cd error. I have not checked the antenna yet. I saw on othe thread a replacement unit might give better reception.

Hey mate i work in a local autobarn store, from what ive seen pioneer have the best radio tuners on the market with the alpine units coming a close second. Thats if your after just radio. I know clarion navigation use's hema maps for off road nav and alpine use there own version which i think is based of OzExplorer.

I have very similar unit which replaced my original stereo & it has been great, been in now for about 3 years & no issues. Everything works incl rear cam, TV, GPS etc

Ddi install it on D2 or P38 ? If you can upload the pic that would be great. I am not sure whether it will fit on D2. I know it is single DIN and it will fit but I am not sure whether the screen will fit when out. Thanks.

Same here. Bought a similar Xtrons D711G about 3 years ago as well and for the price I have been happy with it. Has DVD player, gps, rear camera input, external monitor output, 7inch 800x480 flip out screen. But if I was to replace then I would focus on a higher quality name brand DVD player and keep the gps as a separate standalone unit.

The complaints I do have with xtrons units is the screen is a bit dim in bright light, and the Bluetooth quality is poor.

Would love to get the Clarion navigation unit but the price is higher than I can justify.
