Just look out for Eonon - They're bad news.

    Hi All,

I'm on my 2nd unit within 6 years - and it's still cheaper than a Clarion or a Pioneer.

Eonon units are poorly and cheaply made. The company offer very little support - It's almost like they just stock these units and know nothing about them.

This particular unit can't be fully inserted in. The back of the slide-out hits the dash. It needs some modifications to rest 20mm further out.

Or, for the full install and errors: Eonon G1310

I'm also looking to change out the head unit in my D2 and have a couple of questions. My D2 currently has the factory fitted unit with a tape deck and I want to get something more modern that will accept MP3/Bluetooth etc.

I've changed the radios in my old D1 and Defender so I know that replacing the unit is essentially quite easy, however, the D1 and Defender didn't have steering wheel controls for the radio and I would like to retain the use of these in my D2.

Do these add an extra layer of complexity in changing the radio or do the controls and modern radios have a standard fitting/plug for this?

Have agree here about Pioneer it was always the stereo of choice amongst us when we were younger, working out Bush for that very reason. Tho the life spans of the CD players only ever seemed to be about 2 years with all the vibration and dust

Hey guys, just out of curiosity, do any head units match the 10 stack Sony cd changer of a d2.

Does that mean you can get hema maps on the DVD screen on a clarion unit?

My old one has died and I need a new unit. The rest of the system speakers, amp, woofer is pretty good aftermarket stuff. I want digital radio, Bluetooth iPhone connection and Pandora. I didn't thunk I wanted another screen setup until I found out about the maps.

Are you still at Sunbury AB? I shop there a bit.

My standard CD player couldn't pick up any stations at all. I swapped it out with a Pioneer unit - suddenly radio!
