Help identifying noise

To the best of my knowledge there was no factory fitted CDL option on the 2000 models. It's probably an aftermarket unit that is either electrically, solenoid or lever/cable activated.

Lever is fine feels same always has it just wont go into the area it needs for it to engage. Its like it starts to but then will not and pops out. Im going to get underneath and see if can spot anything lol

well turns out my weird noise was a lose drive shaft!!!!!!!!! LOL!!

Especially when its an easy fix and relatively cheap, well cheap for a Landrover.
