Have you replaced the oil pump bolt?
If not that who be the next thing I would do.
Well since purchasing my D2 TD5 last June, I have been slowly attempting to collect the set of various warning lights and issues. I think I've almost got the all!
I'm planning on using some tax return funds to spoil the old girl but the list is getting slightly overwhelming!
Here's the planned things:
-Oil and oil filters (routine maintenance)
-Fuel and air filter (routine maintenance)
-Transmission filter and fluid (routine maintenance)
-Shuttle valve switch replacement on ABS modulator (3 Amigos intermittently, Error 1104)
-Bleed brake system (soft pedal until second press when braking)
-Replace/rebuild XYZ switch on transmission (M&S on when trying to kickdown gear)
-Injector harness replacement (occasional miss on idle)
-Fan bearing (noisy grind/rattle type sound on idle)
I've already done:
-Fuel pressure regulator
-Rear door lock replacement
-EGR removal
I guess the good thing is that my car is pretty much a textbook Disco 2, showing all the possible issues!
Has anyone else had ALL these happen?

I believe it has been done! Lots and lots of paperwork for servicing and parts from the previous owner and that does ring a bell.
List looks typical. What year and how many km's are you up to?
Excellent questions! 2001 with 322,000. I guess probably not that bad to get this far!
Solid weekend worth you think?

Looks like a good weekend. Do you know when the diff and transfer box oils were last changed? And also the drive belt.
And if you haven't already done so, get a low coolant level alarm and given the age think about replacing all the radiator hoses and the thermostat. And if you do the hoses google "Td5 secret hose".
I thought I saw a receipt for hoses and thermostat somewhere! Don't know about that secret hose!
Not sure about diff and trans case oils. Will suss that one out. Just keeps adding haha. I think priority will be to get rid of the dash Christmas tree.

There's a small coolant hose under the turbo, it's about 75mm long, with an 18mm one end and 13mm the other end, due to heat from the manifold and turbo, it can fail after a while and when it fails it goes quickly replace it and keep a spare with you.
Baz.
Cheers Baz.

Well that hose sounds like a hoot!
I forgot to mention my starter motor is clicking 50% of the time... Have new contacts for it just add it to the list!
I spoke with a guy from British Four Wheel Drives in Tassie to order all the above parts. Nice guy and did a great price on everything! Can't wait to get it all and dig in to it. Actually I can wait 😢 not looking forward to all of it!

That's when I learned about the 2 O rings that i should have replaced too.
They were then ordered and replaced soon after.
