The hose between the fuel pressure regulator and the front of the block has split on my 2002 TD5.
It looks like the inlet manifold has to come off to get at the front 14mm nut. A curse on the designer.
A few questions please:
1. Is there a special tool for the front nut? Or must the manifold come off?
2. What is the part number for a replacement pipe?
3. If it is a low pressure return, could I just remove the old rubber and clamp in a new bit?
Thanks
Same thing happened to Daisy 2 weeks ago. I got a new pipe from DLS (GBP 15) and bought the manifold gasket at the local LR parts desk ($55 then i found that Craddocks do it for GBP6!). Hoping to have a go this weekend and will keep you posted. In the meantime a length of flex hose and 2 jubilee clips at each end is proving a very effective temporary fix.
