Thread: Chrome Moly driveline

Looking to strengthen up the drive line on my Disco 2 2003 V8. Any one out there gone down the path of using chrome moly parts? Will be using chrome moly CV's. Know any suppliers? And what parts are you guys breaking?
Also any advice on gearing to suit 32's? Where do I start, diffs, transfer case?

Ashcroft for axles and CV's are the benchmark. CV outers are 4340, inner is 300M, axles are 4340.

Gearing, how you do it depends on if you always run big tyres or only when offroad. Always - 4.11=33" tyres which yours are just under. If offroad only and its an auto then you can just leave it or run a Maxi-drive 30% transfer reduction, if a manual definitely run a reduction.
