    I have not heard of an internal xyz switch problem causing a no start but the switch electrical multiplug can if all the wires are not properly connected to it. This is especially the one telling the ecu the vehicle is in reverse or neutral. Without getting that signal the ecu won't let the engine start, happened to me after changing a switch. A wire into the multiplug had come loose.

    Jeez mate I wish I had read your post yesterday, I just paid a grand for a switch to be replaced... dohhh!
