    Suspension System Bright

    Hey all

My rear suspension compressor seems to have leaked some water into the motor and running real **** have bush rebuilt it to get it pumping air out but now the computer it seems will not tell it to pump back up to height.

I have arranged a new compressor from NSW but not sure if the car will then let the new compressor pump up.

To me it's like in a limp mode where it will run for 30-40 sec to maintain its pressure but not to lift it right up,

Anyone in the area that could help with any fault codes in the system.

    Phone 0412792508

We are staying in Dinner Plain for a few days then in Bright till Tuesday, any help would be great.

    Thanks

Can you make it from Bright to Wodonga? There's an independent LR mechanic there (Grover from this forum).

do you have the warning on the dash?... if not you migh not find any fault code... do you mean the compressor starts, runs for 30 second then stops withoutany lifting?... cos then it means the air supply valves are not opening... improvise a wiring as to be able to feed the compressor ant the air supply valves at the same time, give them power untill it's at a visible normal height, cut the feed and let the valves and pump unplugged.... it will stay on level for many days this way untill you fix it for good

I have pulled both pipes from the valves and plugged them up to a air hose and pumped both bags up to 60psi with the car on a high-lift, this got them both just above road height, once back on the bags I pulled power supply and valve plugs out to keep in the air.

This has now given me the car with up and down arrows alarm after a drive I put it all back together and drove the car no dash alarms but car will still not set the height even off road setting just flashes and pump will run for the 30 sec them shut off.

Will see how it looks tomorrow and put some weight in it, but still think the system needs a reset as even if pump is not working it will not run to fill it.

I have a pump that I will put in the car on Monday in Bright but not sure if that will fully help

it could be that the compressor not pumping air and is overheating and shutting itself down,I would try the new pump before you try anything else,Are you getting the complete pump and valves or just the pump.

Just the pump at this point if the valves are gone thinking of a re build of the whole system with better switches in the rear cabinet with a new pump and manual air inlets to fill the bags with tyre connection.

It also seems now the bags have been damaged most likely on the drive up the mountain, as we filled them up and only lasted 2 days before hitting bump stops ( note all controls to valves was disconnected so should have stayed up )
