No, I wouldn't imagine them to necessarily be the equivalent of 130/90. I mean the name indicates that they wouldn't be either, Plus 60 only means 60% more light, which is still less than the increase to 130/90.Quote:

You have to remember that 130/90s have exactly the same cutoff and scatter characteristics as 60/55s. I am very confident that on low beam the cutoff is just as sharp as the 60/55s. I have never been flashed .Quote:

I would say to you that wrongly adjusted 60/55s are far worse than correctly adjusted 130/90s.
HID are a different thing altogether as the light scatter is much greater due to the position and shape of the light source, and even then I can tell you a correctly adjusted factory HID is far worse than a 130/90 when they are cresting a hill towards you, yet the authorities seem to disregard this.

I have used 130/90 hi lo but better than that I have just installed German made Osram Night Breaker Unlimited...fantastic. I also got their blue white globes for the park lights and they are too cool for school. Both look more like HID than trad globes.

I have 35 watt HID's in my 02 pre facelift D2. Entirely legal as it has headlight washers and self leveling suspension. I have also adjusted the headlights correctly and have never had a complaint or been flashed by an oncoming vehicle. I bought mine from a seller on ebay called 95soarer. My dad and i have had a kit in 6 vehicles so far without a failure or issue. Highly reccomended.

But you are far, far less likely to be pinged with high wattage halogens that are properly adjusted than when running HID's.Quote:
