ZF replaced the valve housing under warranty last thursday all is well again with the transmission fingers crossed it stays that way. Having said all of that ZF have been good to deal with they pulled their reconditioned box out and rebuilt it and now have replaced the valve housing on it without out any hesitation.

Hi I am about to replace my TD5 auto as well and doing a run around to see whats out there, any of you guys had any dealing with Wholesale Automatic Transmissions in Bayswater Vic they do a Nomad Valve body Upgrade that will give higher oil pressure to the clutches and a manual lockup control that allow you to lockup the torque convertor in any gear for down hill descents or towing and better fuel economy you can check them out on youtube or A&B also do a 3rd gear lockup mod not sure what way to go with the TC they all do TC mods still sorting thru that part.

No, but I have a few thousand now on my fully rebuilt transmission at Manuel Automatics in Thomastown. See their website for videos etc. JC recommends them too.
I stuck with a standard rebuild, and all good so far. Not sure what the 3rd gear lockup mod is, as 3rd locks up the TC as standard when 3rd is selected.

Was same price fitted as A&B - ~$4900 incl fitting of a new cooler.

    ZF price was ~$3500 changeover.

    Cheers
