    Do any mechanical parts from a D1 fit a td5?

    I was at the local pick a part here the other day on a non-LR matter and I noticed they had 3 D1's in the yard. All V8 auto's and I wondered if any mechanical parts are interchangeable that would be useful as spares?
    For instance diff centres? Auto trans internals? Transfer case? Spare wheel holder?
    Any idea? There are definitely no D2's of any kind there!

    Late D1 24 spline diff centres and the transfer cases mainly, early diffs are 10 spline and not much use.

    Very little. The t case is a good upgrade though. D1 should be an lt230T whereas a D2 has the weaker lt230Q - possibly without a CDL.
