Best replacement prop shafts
There is a thread presently about a poor fella who is out west with a broken shaft. It made me think a thread is needed to look at the best replacements and options for rebuilding. There was a big thread a few years ago but I cannot recall seeing much in recent times.
I will start - at 150,000 I had bird chirps and jumped underneath to see the original joints moving apart from lack of grease (washed out) and wear. I replaced the unis with Hardy Spicer heavy duty greasables and left the centre nylon bush alone. She doesnt show any signs of problems now at 248,000k.
I have heard some people on here having vibration problems with Tom Woods shafts. I dont think I need to go to that extent strength wise nor run the risk of vibration in what is an exceptionally quiet drive. When I eventually replace what are the options? It seems to me that many shafts now are made in China. Are there any made elsewhere that use unis and nylon centre joint?
What are people's experience with replacement shafts?
Cheers

No need to duplicate. If anything, summarise the above link.
