    Spare Wheel Cover Key

    Hi All,

First week owning a 2004 V8 Disco HSE.

Lovely car. Great step up from a Rodeo.

Tried searching through some threads to find my answer but to no avail. The seller couldn't find the key to the hard cover for the spare wheel on the back. Are these unique keys or keyed alike? Where would one get one?

Also while I'm here on an unrelated note - What have been the best solutions with sun faded plastics/guards and the leather around the handbrake/4wd shifter.

    Cheers,

    Shane - Sydney.

You can buy new gaiters on ebay very cheap.

I just have finished repainting my flares. all the potions such as "back to black" renu etc etc didn't really make mine look good.

Heavy sand to reduce the grainy feel then 400, special plastic primer , sand again and paint with Duplicolour black bumper bar paint. All bought at Supercheap.
I had to have a couple of goes on one as the grainyness is hard to get rid of completely, but as the bumper paint flats off it is less/not noticeable.

Did any D2 come with a hard wheel cover? I don't think so. So maybe try to establish the brand of cover and take it from there.

    Regards Philip A

The Classic "Town" and "Country" editions came with 18" wheels, and had a nice stainless steel & plastic locking cover over the spare.

Yeah maybe I will try a locksmith if this indeed is a special edition kind of thing.

    Some photos.

In the meantime...roof cage and a bullbar are needed. Where to start
