Have you looked at the dual battery systems supplied by Traxide?

G'day all,
I just got a quote from ARB for their best dual battery set up which was $2,242. That's all done, drive away. Do you think that sounds in the ball park. I would appreciate a second opinion. They'll be using new wiring and a double socket in the rear. Cheers.

Thanks Sheerluck. Was very helpful.
you could drive to qld and get drivesafe to fit it for that price.well almost

The problem is ARB will quote you for a separate charger as they assume all cars (and tried to tell me the D2 was included) won't supply the 13-14v constantly. The new cars alternators drop after a while so need a solution.
The D2 doesn't. I just installed a dual battery kit from tracked myself. I have a HSE so can't fit the second battery in the engine bay so I installed an ArkPak in the rear bin area.
Cost roughy $300 for the kit, $100 for ArkPak and then $300 for the deep cycle battery. Took me about 1.5hrs all done.
Hi Mick and can you fit a kit yourself?
If so, ave a look at the D2 battery tray at this link.

Then you could fit one of my SC80-FPC kits and you would have a setup that does a lot more than anything ARB can offer, and for about half the price.

If you can not fit a DBS yourself, it should cost about $400 to have an auto electrician fit it for you.
Cheers, Tim.
It's great to see that by 9 posts in this forum that everyone has spelled "dual" correctly.
But seriously, buy one of Drivesafe's kits and you will be better off.
Will.
