    Hi everyone
    I have a 2003 discovery 2 update I'm looking at a dual battery system and have been warned that if I mount the battery on the rear left side of the engine bay it will be greatly affected by the heat from the turbo any advise would be appreciated

    I've had a wet deep cycle there for 2years (was already there when I bought the D2), then an Optima D34 yellow top for the past 3yrs ... so far so good.
