    Rusted door rails

    Hi.
    Has anyone fixed or replaced the door rails on the middle doors. Both mine are staring to rust out.
    Any ideas on fixing? Would prefer to replace but not sure of parts or even if it's possible to do so.

    can be done

    If you are referring to the door frame yes they do rust out and yes they can be either repaired or replaced with new/old ones. the job is not difficult but a bit fiddly as you need to take the glass and window mechanism out if i recall correctly. i happen to have some spare doors so swapped mine out for better ones and treated them with fish oil. the bits that rust are hidden below the door cards. allow time and take your time doing them. good luck.

    Cheers for that.

    So do they have screws or bolts holding them in or do you need to weld them? Just seeing what I am in for.

    Also did you find a procedure in a manual or did you just figure it out?

    hi

    no welding required, just figured it out as you go. there are a number of bolts/screws which will need undoing. allow time and you should be done. just take time to align the window once all is back together again. good luck
