Thread: Transfer case info needed please

Hi to all while my auto is away for a rebuild it seems a good time to fix an annoying oil leak that leaks only when towing so after some reading and from where it appears i would say the intermediate shaft o ring so i thought that's not hard but when i took the bottom cover off for a quick look there were lots of coppery metal every where so i could pretend i didn't see it but you know in the back of your mind this will break when your in the middle of BF so i stripped it down and found no thrust washers behind the planet gear in the diff plus the intermediate shaft is worn and the case has signs of wear where the shaft sits all bearing and seals are good but will replace them while its apart so at 280000ks someone has done work on it before so my question is where is the best place in Oz to source parts i can get them from Ashcroft s in the UK but its a time thing the other problem is the case are there people that re-sleeve the case like Ashcroft s do preferably in Brissy but other states are fine thank in advance.

I ordered a rebuild kit from Ashcroft on the Thursday and it arrived on the Monday. Cheaper than anywhere here also.
