Front end alignments - panhard rod
I was just taking some measurements to see how much extra offset I can get on the wheels. What I have noticed is that the whole body seems to pulled to the drivers side (or axle pulled to the passenger side).
There is at least 15mm difference. I am guessing this is due to the lift (only about 2", maybe a bit more) and the pan hard rod is too short.
Am I thinking correctly? Is it worth putting in an adjustable pan hard rod if that's that case.
I know the vehicle has never been in an accident so that's not the problem.

Thats exactly what it is mate, you need an adjustable panhard rod in order to bring the front diff back across to where it should be. I had the same drama and in the process destroyed a set of coppers, all good now though.

Thanks. So where did you get yours from? I only just bought new bushes for this panhard.

Hi Walker,
I got my off Ebay, think its an adjustable Terrafirma Panhard Rod.When my was measured I think the front diff was off-set about 20-25mm, it caused to chew the inner edge of my muddies out, causing a hi/lo or heal and toe pattern.
I took the rod to a place where it was set with an electronic wheel aligning machine, they were located in East Keilor and do quite a few comp trucks etc.
Any decent workshop with the right equipment should know exactly what yr talking about, its amazing how many tyre fitting places DKJS!

Nolathane offer one. But be warned there is a difference between D2 and D2a with the mounts. I had to cut it down to suit my D2a.

Yes. Nolathane one ordered. I have a D2 so all should be good.
