Thread: Coolant

The specifications of the coolant are the important thing, not just the colour (although one may reflect the other). Nulon red is OAT; Nulon green is hybrid OAT. Other greens can just be rust inhibitor.
And no, not just a Land Rover thing. Jap and euro cars now need blue, which is different spec again.

anything do. Can find green but not Pink

Any Supercheap or Repco should have Nulon red OAT.
I think you can use green if you want , but you have to be VERY SURE that you completely flush the cooling system until clear water is all that is left, run it agin then change again.
The red is AFAIK because of Euro pollution regs.
But the green doesn't last as long .
You cannot use Pink in a RRC as it apparently eats brass radiators.
