    Good news for P-Platers

It is now legal for NSW P-Platers to drive Land Rover D2 V8s.

Check out the transport website for the make and models that are now allowed:

Vehicle restrictions < Younger drivers < Drivers < Staying safe < NSW Centre for Road Safety

The list is odd. Some older Rangie classics are allowed whilst others have "Contact RMS", ditto for the Land Rover 110

Very odd list. Isuzu powered County is 'contact RMS' while latest MY15 RRS with SDV8 is allowed...

Not hard to guess which one of those would win a drag race.

I think it is more about which vehicles have been assessed. Older less popular models probably haven't been evaluated yet, and may not get evaluated until someone asks.

Just recently bought my V8 due to the change of laws. 130kw per tonne makes much more sense than previous laws.

Finally it seems my partner can throw away her letter... (Drivable through my business...)

As a 35 year old woman, she wouldn't have been doing anything stupid.

    Worst rules ever!

Happily some light has been shed on the situation.
