Assuming the car has had regular servicing, step 1 - quick easy adjustment, just need a 10mm spanner:

Hi all, please bare with me as I am not only new to the forum but also land rover... I have an 02 Td5 that I'm looking to slowly freshen up. It only has 150k on the clock but seems a little gutless and thirsty at the same time, any advice as where to start would be appreciated?

Shouldn't a matching tune go along with any boost adjustment?
Thanks simonmelb I'll give it a go over the weekend and see how I go.
Clean your sensors. Get some MAP cleaner and do the sensor just after the air cleaner, as well as the IAP, the one on the inlet manifold.
Clean the ecu red connector, as the injector harness has issues that cause the oil to wick to here.
Optional - get good quality fuel injection cleaner- I use costeffective.com.au product as it works and is value for money. Double dose initially as per instructions.
Take the hose off between the outlet of the turbo and the inlet manifold. How gunked up is the manifold? Does it still have the egr valve? Is it operating properly ?
Search the forum on details on how to perform all of the above, if required.
Also, post more specific details on thirst and how it is "gutless" so the advice can be more targeted. Eg too much turbo lag.
Is it an auto or manual?
Stock or modified?
When you say thirsty, what fuel economy are you getting?
When you say gutless, how long does it take to do 0-100 at full throttle?
Do you have access to a Nanocom?
