ACE equipped Disco 2 without SLS

    Hi all,

Was looking at stock 2003 Disco (TD5 auto) on the weekend and noticed that it is ACE equipped (extra fluid reservoir next to PAS and pump)but doesn't have SLS (on coils). Would this have been an option the original owner ticked ?

    Thanks

There's many who have removed the SLS and fitted coils instead. A few of the spare part sellers push this option when you contact them for a replacement airbag, so might be aftermarket setup. Is the vehicle's suspension lifted?

I bought a new manual D2 with ACE w/o SLS. There weren't many built on this spec without special ordering and there were only 2 available in Oz at the time. There were several autos available with ACE w/o SLS though.

ACE was available as an option for any suspension configuration. I bought my with ACE as an option + coils. ACE really has little to do with the coils / air bag as such. More to do with loading and unloading roll torsion bars.

Not This little black duck, I am very happy with my air suspension and couldn't go to coils. As for lift, you only need to fit a spacer kit on the bottom of the airbag not a big or hard job

Mine is also a factory coiler with ACE. ACE was just an option. Mind you I think it was about a $4k option.

If you have the VIN you can check in Microcat what it originally was built with.

    As far as Im aware.
    All 7 seaters had SLS.
As others say ACE was a $4000 option,my D2 had ACE and coils.
