link mate?
Hi everyone,
Has anyone got a set of the davis performance land rover's rock sliders on their D2? I am looking to get a pair but would like to here some feedback first. They do look pretty tough and have the checker-plate step which is exactly what I am after.
Thanks,
link mate?
Mate I have these but APT made them with mandrel bent pipe back to the frame so I didn't hook up on anything... http://www.aptfabrications.com.au/di...rs-discovery-2. I got mine in naked form.
I think they are great, strong and look good. Cheaper than the ones you linked too.

$1000 for sliders. You have got to be joking! Why do people charge so much for them?

To me they just look like side steps that bolt to the chassis. 'Proper' sliders replace the plastic trim below the doors and sandwich the body sill to give real strength.
I'd be worried the ones in the link would bend/twist up into the plastic trim.
Have the DPL sliders on my D2 and put them trough quite a bit of punishment, initially purchased APT ones but holes for screws did not fit at all and they where cut incorrectly so I returned them.
Like the DPL better the APT as they sit on to few bolts for my liking and don't really wrap around something solid like the frame.
