    Smile Broken RH axle

well final pulled the axles out and diff the right hand axle had broken took me over nine months to do it driving around on one rear (Detroit Locker Fitted 10 years ago).
no damage to diff thank goodness getting some Hi Tuff axles hopefully stronger, reason it took so long was job loss resulting in shortage of funds.

Get it done then can play again

What were you doing when i happened? I've been told Disco axles are weak but i assumed it was confusion with RRC 10 spline axles and early series 1 LR's.

I have a D2a and would like to know what not to do. If you could tell me what you were doing at the time it broke that would be great.

if you have a standard diff you will have no worries, I tend to play hard and with a detroit locker plus chipped engine but in saying that they still lasted around ten years, front CV is more likely to give you grief done two before upgrading to Ashcroft ones. I also have a true trac limited slip in the front.

Hey its my 1000th post took a long time to get there
