Do you know if it's a job the untrained can do with minimum grief or at best not making the problem worse?
You have to remove the tappet cover, isn't it full of oil in there? If so do you drain your engine oil first?
Is it just a simple case of unplugging the existing cable and plugging the new one in?
Also if I am going to do it should I fill the new cable loom with silicone or something?
Do I need to buy a new gasket prior to starting?

It's piece of cake, remove the rocker cover, unplug old cable, plug new in put the cover back with new gasket, that's all
