Maybe check your bonnet switch bracket, they bend and don't engage to closed position, it might make it think it is unlocked
Hi
On holidays again and having some drama. I do love my disco the rest of the family want an upgrade ? Wtf
Leaking air bag I can live with but I'm having some drama with my central locking. When I try and lock I get the horn beep indicating that a door is open? Checked All switches with nanacom and I'm getting a on off signal from all doors and bonnet
So suspension go's down left side start engine close all doors and the compressor won't kick in? System thinks a door is open.
I can pump up via nanacom but is bit off a pain
Has anyone ever else experienced this phenomenon with their disco 11 ??
Any ideas would be super appreciated.
Maybe check your bonnet switch bracket, they bend and don't engage to closed position, it might make it think it is unlocked
My Disco II always beeps at me if the bonnet has been opened, even though it is shut before and when I lock the car!
I don't know why other than it is letting me know that it may have been tampered with????
Cheers
Mike
Check your bonnet switch as mentioned, also check your interior light switches on all 5 doors

Hi, that bonnet misslock warning is a glitch which happens to some and not to others, mine doesnt do it, couldn't find a logical explanation, it seems that it needs few seconds before the lock command after the bonnet was closed then it will be silent. The problem here is at a door or something else cos the bonnet is not included in the SLS management, only the 5 doors so even if you leave the bonnet switch unplugged the SLS must work
the signal from the door SWITCHES to BCU are on two circuits, the driver's door on one circuit and all the other doors in parallel on the second one, what you saw with nanocom as ON/OFF was about the door lock/unlock MOTORS not SWITCHES cos you can't see the passenger/rear/tail door switches separately as all the signals from them are joint in header C0285 and going to BCU on a single wire to C0660-4... the switches and motors are all parts of the latch actuators so the only way to check them is by making measurements on the circuits... to isolate the circuit you can disable the volumetric alarm and superlock with nanocom, leave the window open, lock and open the driver's door...if the alarm goes off it means the problem is on one of the other 4 doors if not you found the problematic switch, if the misslock is from one of the other doors and you open any of them while the car is locked the alarm will not go off at all
I presume that as the SLS doesnt work one of the door switches is making the trick which would mix up the interior courtesy lights too so that's the first question: the interior courtesy lights are working well? ... according to that answer we can go further... i diagnosed several times this issue so if you have RAVE(for the connector views) i'll tell you where to measure

Thank you for your knowledge turn out the bonnet switch bracket needed a Tweak all good now I just need to order some new bags.
