oils aint oils....are they Sol?
Nothing challenging or contentious here.
I have just filled Grumble with Shell Helix HX7 , a 10W-40 synthetic diesel oil.
Came highly recommended by a local service outlet and I got 10 ltrs at the mates rates.
recommended by MB, VW, Renault ,Fiat.
Immediate noticeable improvement to engine oil pressure.
Grumble has only had Caltex Delo up until last service which was Penrite.
Never noticed oil pressure improvement before.
I will consciously watch pressure and temps just out of curiousity.
It appears to sound quieter too.
If there's anything of interest to report before I go away I'll put it up , otherwise it'll be situation normal.

I have been shoving Castrol RX Super in the 710 hole for as long as I can remember. Seems to go well and oil is still fairly clean when changed. FWIW, I also use Dex 3 ATF in the auto and EP80w90 in everything else.
Cheers
