Who owns the D2 in the latest edition of 4WD Action? It looks pretty neat especially with the flares. Hope it is features on the DVD.
It is actually issue 229. I'm not the only person who reads it. Someone on this forum owns the D2 in it.
The key is reading it with an open mind and remember they are paid to say what they say. The same theory as "today tonight" or a "current affair." Just i'm pretty sure not to the same extreme.
Besides ever since "Roothy" left, the quality of the content on the DVD's has improved.
It is 2001 Disco 2 TD5 dark green with what looks like LRA flares, ARB winch bar, Roof rack, RTT, side awning and snorkle. Has Vic plates and I think the blokes name is Adam. There is also a glimpse of a blue Disco 2 running Simex's i think this blokes name is Stefan.
Stefan is on AULRO.
Cheers

Sounds like Mutley
Mutley's D2 & D4
Hmm...pics aren't working.
But it's him![]()
I thought the buying used thing was pretty negative and pessimistic, with some of the problems highlighted being minor and others were old age problems.
For example 3 amigos. Mine now has 168Kk and has had 3 amigos once , and it was due to too many sharp uturns, and a slightly low signal from RH rear. A quick clean of the RH rear connector and they haven't come back in a year and 30KK including lap of OZ.
XYZ switch no problems, as I added drains.
So far so good with front shaft.
Only Gotcha I have had is the damned fuel line rub through.
And AFAIR they didn't mention the biggie , ie the oil pump bolt.
Regards Philip A
With upper rear control arms apparently.
Damn, just dobbed myself in didn't I.

I'd agree phillip, if they were offering a D2 at a significant discount because of any one of the listed problems I'd buy it.
Was very much a backhanded article. "Hahahaha Land Rovers are **** and their owners are ****** but seriously they are good cars but yeah nah they're ****"
