Question D2 Pattern rear bumper bar lights

Anyone had any success with any of the pattern brands for the rear bumper bar lights? I purchased a Britpart XFB000720 a few years ago but the reflective component in the red part of the light is non-existent. I'm wondering if the Bearmach, Eurospares or AllMakes4x4 are any better? The genuine Land Rover part is up to five times more expensive...

Have you a steel rear bar?

I've contemplated removing the factory lights out of mine. Plating and welding up the holes, then fitting decent LED lamps.

    Just a thought Scott.

I do, and I have thought of that but seems like more work than the gains are worth. LED lights don't get me overly excited...

Don't remember the brand but I purchased a non genuine one when I purchased my D2 as the old one had a crack and failed RWC.

It too has no working reflector in it.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

I bought 2x AllMakes lenses. No reflector in these too. Other issue was I falsely thought it was a complete assy - nope...you gotta reuse original bulb holders. I had to make new gaskets to seal them.

Other than that, they fitted okay.

It's hard not to look past the price though, hey?! Especially when you have to buy 2 or 4 of what ever item.

Buy quality, or buy twice... or more times.
