    immobiliser issues...help!

Have just spent the last couple of hours trying to start my TD5.
Have only had it for a couple of days so still not familiar with its quirks.
As mr racq turned up.....the @@$ thing started!
The lock actuator on the drivers door doesn't unlock with the fob (part ordered) so after immobising, drivers door needs to be unlocked by the key. Could this be upsetting the immobiliser??
I have read through the posts on this forum. I'm pretty sure someone said that the immobiliser can be disabled with nanocom. Could someone in the know direct me to the thread or explain how to do it?
    Thanks
    Dave

Had a similar issue with my mates D2. The unlock button died, and while waiting in the bits to fix it, locking the doors with the fob, then unlocking it with the key didn't work and the immobiliser stayed active. Had to use the key in the lock to input the code each time. If you have the code, the instructions are in the user manual.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

    Hi
If you are locking the car with the fob, but unlocking with the key, then as stated you will have to use the EKA code each time until you get the actuator sorted.

That's a real pain as its a 8 to 10 minute process each time. Not sure about nano, but if it does not maybe main dealer or indie?

All doors lock with fob. Procedure for unlocking......fob to immobilise and unlock other doors, strangely, this is one press and not two, then unlock drivers fordoor with key. Has worked everything until today. Not sure what happened but now working fine again, until next time it doesn't! Just read up about eka and managed to pull code out of the nanocom. Will try that next time. Would really like to disable it.

It is an option in the BCM that you can choose 1 press to open all doors or 2.
It can be programmed with a Nanocom.
I have active immobilisation not enabled using Nanocam.
However the car still may not start if you are near an RFi source and the procedure is to lock/unlock and try again. If that does not work push the car 100 metres.

    Thanks Philp A,
Will look into the nanocom and see if I can find those settings.
Hoping that fixing actuator will sort the issue out.

Hi, if the other doors unlocked on the fob it means that it was remobilised only that motor or mechanism in the driver's door latch is gone, as long as the BCU gets the signal from the fob through the receiver and unlocks the doors(even if only one of them) it's not a immobiliser issue... if it didnt crank check the small lucar connector on the starter solenoid cos it used to make bad contact and give intermittent starting issues, check the battery clamps too, and swap the starter relay with the headlamp wash relay to rule this out too... your starting problem is deffinitely not with the immobiliser nor with the actuator but with the starter circuit or the starter itself

Thanks, I think you may have hit the nail on the head.
It wouldn't start in the car park yesterday so jumped underneath and played with the connector on the starter and away she went!
Think I may have jumped the gun on the immobiliser!
    Thanks again.
