    Td5 aircon bearing noisy

    Hi.
My aircon clutch/pulley is noisy when switched on?

Does anyone know the part number for the bearing in the aircon pulley/clutch assy as its my daily driver and would like to get the bearings first from the local bearing shop before i pull it apart.

Is the idle pulley bearing the same part number as the aIrcon bearing?

    Thank you

    HI,

I am in the same boat. Daily driver and squeaky bearings, Or maybe belt or both .

I think the tensioner needs to be replaced completely if it is cactus.

    Cheers,
    Brian.

I replaced my belt tensioner with a genuine unit 6 months ago so its shouldnt be that.
I did find my aircon pulley bolt loose an re-loctited the tread but still makes the noise under load.

I will have to pull it off an measure then do a write up.

    Thumbs up Bearings etc

AFAIR, the bearings on D1 and D2 air conditioning compressors are the same. The compressors are Denso built. Try Ashdown Ingram for a start point.

I think there has been a thread about this in the past...search function is your friend.

Order a kit off ebay, you may find you need the full kit if the bearing has gone enough to start to chew the clutch.
There is a good page on this somrwhere which I'll link to later, but some notes!
There is a large circlip on the front, under the steel front plate, remove this. If you think there isn't, clean and relook, there is! I ripped the front off my compressor with the puller because I looked but didn't see it.
When replacing the bearing in the pully, bear on the outer edge of the bearing hole only, don't use the outer edge of the pully, it will deform.
Getting the old one out is hard, putting the new one in pretty easy.
If you learn from my mistakes then it's doable, but I stuffed up from start to finish and ended up buying a new compressor.

Ok update. I pulled the aircon bearing out an it was pretty average and while i was there i also pulled the idler bearing. The part numbers for the Td5 engine are
    -Aircon pulley- 30bgs10dst $24
    -IDLER BEARING- 6303 $12

But in the end i found the harmonic balancer has a wobble so its looking like an order from the Uk. What does everyone think of bearmach parts?????

Im finding it hard to find a genuine harmonic balancer an im not going to buy a britpart item. Lol.

The d2a auto has had alot of treatment(money) in the last year so im hoping its going to give me an the family some good times. Otherwise....................
    Thank you
