			D2a No power!!

I hadn't used my car for a couple of days. Went to start it yesterday arvo and no power to electrics at all. I thought I may have left an interior light on and flattened the battery. I put the battery on the charger overnight when I first connected it, it showed 0% charge. This morning the battery is at 100% charge now, but still no electrics, can't lock or unlock car, key in ignition shows no lights on dash and the car is dead no starting no power at all. The battery was new when I bought the car a couple months ago but was only $187 and is a cheapie I think, but has been fine to date. ANY ideas?

Thanks Richo1 I found the post, should have searched.
So I've cleaned both the terminals and the battery posts with rattail file and emery paper. Clean as now terminals were corroded. It does have vertical bolt terminals btw. When I was tightening up the (-) I did see a spark going across between the terminal and post. I tightened them up, no movement now, done up too tight really.
Still no power.
I haven't done Blacknights " As a stop gap meaure if you clean up the battery posts and splay the terminals a little you can then fold ome alfoil and instetr it between the post and the terminal before tightening up the terminal" should I do that next?

I cleaned the cones in the terminal and oiled a little, also took off the positive and negative plastic indicators off battery posts to get more depth, seat the terminals better. Still have a dead car?
Battery still at 100% btw.

Just start from the source (battery) and work your way along from there.
If you have a multimeter I would start testing resistance of cables etc.
EG: with battery connected, from negative earth terminal to body of car.
From positive terminal to main starter motor cable etc.

RACQ just came. Although my ALDECO Battery Charger indicated that the battery was at 100% it only had 1.5v in it.
I'm not really electrically inclined but I think I should buy myself a Multimeter.
RACQ jump started me and I'm going for a run to charge up, will hookup NANOCOM and see what is happening although its thumping 14.4 volts in currently.
Think I'm going to change those terminals and get myself a Caterpiller 115-2422 1000CCA Battery as recommended by members on here.

Went for a run for an hour, drove fine. Nanocom said battery at between 14.4 and 13 volts while running, once motor turned off 13.3volts.
Does anyone know, is the Nanocom telling me state of charge of the battery ie that its now at 13.3volts?

Yes that will be the battery state it is showing. Now what you need to do is recheck it at regular intervals over the next few hrs. If it drops below 12.5 in that time you have a drain or a crook dying battery. At approx 11.6v the m & s lights should flash.
Cheers Scott

I think my battery charger was faulty as it said it was fully charged when it was dead. I have borrowed another battery charger and put that on the battery. Should I not charge it further and watch for voltage drop then, battery charger still says its on boost, not full.
I turned the Nanocom on and it now says 12.58 volts, even though I've had it on the charger continuously since I turned the car off.
Something weird going on and I don't think its the terminals?
