Trickling water noise ?

I had the same problem in the early days of ownership.Just filled up the coolant and it goes away. Question is , why is it low in the first place?

that's just it the coolant is full I check it all the time and it is never low the heater core was disconnected when I got the old girl so maybe there was a problem with it before I got it? I clamped of the heater hoeses at work today and the noise stoped,how hard are they to change?

The noise you hear is air trapped in the heater core , when idling there isn't enough pump pressure to try and move it , but at 2000 rpm its enough , try bleeding the system by unclipping and raising the expansion tank while getting someone to hold 2000 rpm, if that doesn't work then try flushing the heater core , it may have a partial blockage from dirty coolant or sludge from a previous oil cooler leak etc
Superpro do d2 caster bushes among others , how big is the lift?

2 inch not happy though anly came up 30mm so im thinking about some coil spacers,i will try to bleed it as you said tomoro thanks

no one disconnects their heater unless theres a problem---

What were the castor measurements?
An adjustable panhard rod will probably fix the wandering if the castor measurenents are not negative. Your front and rear tracks are out of whack due to the lift. You need a slightly longer panhard rod.

all they said to me was I need 2 degree caster correction bushes,where can I get a panhard rod for the disco and how would you adjust it? sory for all the questions I don't have much to do with suspension

so iv done every thing you guys have said and the noise has got louder!think im going to just disconnect the heater and order a new heater core see if that will make it go away

We had this problem with our D1. As I understand it, the cooling system is pressurised to force the coolant up to the top of the engine, which is above the coolant filler. If that doesn't happen there is air in the system. I'm talking about the 300Tdi so I'm not sure if the same is true with the Td5 - no doubt the gurus here would now.
On the 300Tdi there is a plug right at the top of the engine which can be taken out and more coolant added to force the air out.Not sure if that is true in your case.

so im going to take the old girl off the road and strip the heater out any tips on removeing the heater core? thanks andy
