I do a lot of preventative work on the usual stuff listed in these forums. Big ticket items as listed above I only plan at fixing or replacing when they give up.
Having read a number of different threads about failures of above components , it appears that a lot of the major woes come in around 275k.
I'm well past that user date now and was wondering if there were any recommended mileages for overhaul/replacement of injectors , turbochchargers and auto transmissions.

yeah , I was wondering if this was the norm....to wait for the inevitable and do it then.
I have no indications of anything , only what others are experiencing.
those sort of things wear out but dont usually fail without some kind of warning.
what you want to do is start to pay attention to the noises and listen for the change, when they make complainy nosies thats when you look atrepairing/ replacing/overhauling them ideally just before it finally fails or wears so much that it damages itself further.
if you can pull that off then you're getting maximum value from your maintenance dollar.

It's reasonable to expect any vehicle that is 10 - 15 years old to need some maintenance. The items you have mentioned....
Injectors arent prone to wearing the nozzles, like any common rail diesel a lot of the wear occurs internal of the injector. The odd failed injector on a TD5 does happen, when it does its a good time to do all the copper injector seals.
Turbos on the TD5 again arent a common fault and are generally a reliable item, this is prolly due in part to the fact they are a common wastegate style of turbo rather than the newer VGT (variable geometry technology (or turbo)) which by comparison are prone to failures on a lot of engines.
The auto if serviced from new at that 50K mark have a great service life. Serviced at that 100K mark, reliability drops a bit, not being serviced for 200K plus, a failure shouldnt be surprising.
More common are other failures, again I consider a lot due to poor maintenance, such as blown coolant hoses etc etc.
