Haha. Nice. Perhaps its the aftermarket fluid filled ones failing. I have it first hand from a local who has had to replace quite a few. Time will tell as i am about to unleash the hi comp 4.6 on my mounts and with the 5 speed and my habit of not sparing the rod it should test them out.

So if I'm changing the engine mounts (Td5) would it be a good idea to do the gearbox (auto) mounts at the same time ?? ... they're cheap enough for genuine ones.

Any tips for testing the condition of the mounts or can you visually see an indicator when the fluid has failed/leaked out?
Kev , you may as well do them as you say ,they are cheap enough, easy job.
twr7cx if the rubber is sitting in the hole of the metal base viewed from under the mount ,then they need replacing, if it's 5 -10 mm away they'll be ok , use genuine mounts only

twr7cx as I said Bruce missed it. My last expert LR mechanic missed it in another D2a I had last year. I've changed mechanics now, the latest LR expert picked it strait up, he said that "they are on their stops" whatever that means?
What does all of this do, does it get the drivetrain back into proper factory alignment or something, really curious because its incredible the difference!
