    Wind from driver side pillar

Hi I am getting wind coming from the pillar next to the driver. It coming from the pillar and the rear door. I replaced the door seal rubber but still the same. My daughter is starting to complain more now especially with this weather in Melbourne.

Any ideas or recommendation need to be checked and done? Thanks.

I would check that the plastic trim on the A pillar is snug against the windscreen and if not seal it with a bit of Sikaflex227.

Another possible culprit is the front mount of the roof rail . Again I sealed mine with Sikaflex.

Check that the rear plastic trim on the passenger door is not loose. Mine flew off on the highway and so I got a new one. Rear mount on roof rail could also be the problem.

    Regards Philip A
I also sealed all along the roof gutter with Sikaflex, but this probably would not cause noise.

Check that the bailey channel rubber in the rear door has not slipped down it's a common cause of this problem

If the Bailey channel is the one in the window channel. That slips down and is easy to fix.

Have you just had windscreen replaced?

On the A-pillar trim there are 3 plastic push type rivets that secure them on the door frame. I found that if they are missing there is a lot of wind noise. Easy way to check is put tape over the holes and go for a drive.

if you read the op it is coming from the pillar next to the driver (the b pillar) and rear door

I'd check the window frame is fitting in the door frame properly also. Mine slipped, sagged and I had to adjust it. Not hard just a couple of Torx screws.

+1 , I found mine had slipped down about 1.5 inches.

Well we have to consider that the OP may be like many of us and not have accurate or young enough ears to tell exactly where wind noise is originating, and of course many noises in cars are deceptive in their origin.

Eg the many posters who think there is a noise in the passenger side when it is the front driveshaft of a D2.

It is the B pillar. I can feel the wind coming from it. I will have a look this weekend. Thanks all for the reply.
