Disco V8 won't start for the first time ever - Help

    Hi Guys,

So Friday the Disco started and drove no worries. Then I went to move it into the driveway and it didn't start. Cranked over but no fuel no spark.

Checked the inertia switch first all good, still no start. Bypassed the inertia switch still no start. Ah must be the Crank sensor, no worries I have a spare so I changed that out (yes put the spacers in properly) and still no start. All fuses are good and swapped the relays around a little. But no change still no start.

No fault codes present but the engine light is on (and I can't remember if it stays on till the engine starts or not.) And while it cranks over the both air suspension lights come on then followed by the three amigos. On time I even had the Sport and Manual lights flashing.

One thing though my plug in reader is seeing no RPM while cranking and neither is the Tacho.

Surely someone had this before and could help me out some.

    I just had a thought.

We have gone and bought a Freelander 2 to replace the Disco and I pretty I was talking about selling it where it could have heard me!

Maybe it just has the ****s.

You said no fuel no spark, is this accurate?

Crank angle sensor, down the back of the engine block on the left side, facing the front of the flywheel. A common failure I hear.

M+S lights hint at gearbox but first ensure you can hear fuel pump prime.

Can your reader see the gearbox? What gear does it think it's in?
