Better to use this old thread rather than creating a new one.
I have followed the instructions I gather from this forum and installed P3 to my D2. I have been towing a blackseries patron off road camper (with led lights) for sometime without any issues - hence thanks for all who shared the knowledge.
As far as I remember my towings were always at day time and without running head lights. Yesterday however, I was trying to relocate my camper, by accident I found out that when I turn on my headlight on, EBC immediately applies brakes. I have tested this behaviour over and over again and I am sure I don't have a problem when headlights are off.
I dont have any other car with EBC installed nor I have any other trailer to test hence I am not sure its the trailer, d2 or combination is the source of the issue.
I was wondering whether anyone experienced something similar and can give me hints before I start troubleshooting the cabling end to end.
many thnx in advance.

That's weird, something is amiss wiring wise, I'd say somehow the parker lights and service brake wires have been crossed over, check if it's the park lights that light up on the trailer instead of the brake lights when you use the controller, also do the park lights on the car come on when you use the trailer brakes?
Cheers
James
If the circuit is made correctly i'd suspect a short in the trailer socket
As above suggestions you better follow 2 simple steps.
1. Check if Parking lights and Brake service lights are crossed at your trailer plug. If YES, then ok. If NO then
2. Try to install power resistors 50Ohm between EACH of the LED lights at the back of your trailer. D2 although is not very sensitive with LED loads but a combination of D2 and EBC and LED lights at the trailer might create this issue too (which is common on other European cars/4WD like Mercedes or VW).
Apologies, I’ve been absent. The last weeks rain in Melb caused leak and little flooding in my house. I will back to d2 once I sorted out everything.
