Does everyone do regular servicing on their autos?

x2 on the Penrite.
:)
Sort of.... Charlie had his auto serviced when I bought him and then again when the XYZ switch was replaced, which was 20k later.
Ideally I'll aim for 40k intervals, like Muppet but it may be less depending on amount of towing and kms/year.
Cheers
Steve
Transmax Z is rated ...
City and Suburban service 100,000km or 2 years
On-Highway 300,000km or 2 years
Why on earth would you replace it every 20k ? It's a truck & bus rated heavy duty full synthetic ATF with extended drain interval capability. The std 40k interval is for plain Dexron III mineral grade ATF ....
Using the recomended service interval but running fluid that's rated well beyond the 40K interval should be more than adequate for towing or heavy off-road 4x4.
The Penrite synth ATF FS has an extended drain interval rating as well ... but I can't find any distance/time rating for the drain interval.
40k changes with Transmax Z.
Because Pedro tows a heavy van with a worked 4.6 V8 as fast as he can in case it breaks again :) :p
Sorry Pedro :D

Replaced WXYZ with a second hand HK unit at 215k
Change ATF EVERY 40k
A bit slow to pressurise some mornings so I just idle it after starting for 3 mins
Bigger prob for me was towing a van at 110kph with empty transfer case which overheated and burned out
IMH suggestion check the transfer case oil as the bearing seals leak
Cheers

2000 black v8
TJM bar
ECB Rack
225k
Currently up to 247,000km and still working as per normal. Run Penrite also and I do 60k servicing personally. That is because of certain towing duties and I feel that it heats the oil a bit much at times.
Have done xyz switch about the 235k mark, and a cooler leak about 245k.
My V8 was on 389k when I sold it and was as smooth as.
I feel the car had done mostly motorway mileage
