    A/C problem TD5 1999

I turned on my climate control today and had no cooling.
When I got home I found that the compressor was not rotating. I checked fuse # 6 (5 &7) too nothing wrong there.
Any one got any ideas Please?

you need to check the tx valve and see if it is working if the system doesn't have enough gas it won't switch on

remove the grille the tx valve is located passenger side on the drier if you take a test light connect it to earth and test the wires (ignition and a/c on )you should hear the compressor clutch activate if it does then your issue is low gas

The tx valve is inside the dash, I think (respectfully) outback is referring to the dual pressure switch.
Disconnect both wires and check the contacts should be closed
    Regards
