Shopping for tyres now and found out the very well liked Maxxis MA 751 Bravo is finally being superseded. I confirmed this with 2 different dealers.
I've had over 100,000 Km on my 753's and wanted to go for the 751's for their quieter ride.
Anyway, will give the AT-700's a try in a 245/75/16 120Q 10 ply.
Jax tyres have $100 cashback at point of sale so it's $200 a tyre![]()

When my 751s wore out, I opted for the 753, which is slightly more off-road oriented and slightly noisier on the highway than the 751.
I'm happy with them. I didn't want something s aggressive as the Bighorn.

Bugger. Love my 751s. Got a new eet 15,000 k ago in 245/75/LT so they will last a long while like previous sets.
Cheers
Got a set on my RRC when 751s first came out. Quieter and cheaper than the Yokohama they replaced. I've been putting Maxxis on most of my cars since then. Good tyres. 751s were a great tyre.
I put them on my wife's MX5 and it was undrivable. Went back the next day and the tyre co. replaced the with Potenzas . Will never touch another maxxis.
Your saying you put a 4wd all terrain tyre on a little 2 door Mazda coupe?
If you are talking about a different Maxxis as opposed to their HD off-road tyres then I can't comment, but here, regarding 4wd tyres I can say they have a great following and for good reason. I wouldn't run a Bridgestone against a 751 LT. Each manufacturer has a good range and perhaps a not so good range.
Cheers
Hi Simon. Iv'e also been looking lately at upgrading the shoes. I hadn't considered the Maxxis at all but will if you get a few good replies as the prices look good. I'm currently running Bridgestone Dueler 245/70R16 and now I have a 2" lift I want to go to 265/75R16 or 265/70R16. These tyres have been great. Quiet, pretty aggressive, seem to last and good in sand and mud and would totally recommend them.
