MAF Sensor on the way out could be one cause. This can be checked with a nanocom or good quality multimeter which can read high enough resistances > 20Mega ohm form memory.

    Cheers

Could be a million things eg maf, map, turbo hose delamination, oil in ecu harness, turbo waste gate sticking, boost solenoid, bad diesel etc etc. Some more info is probably needed. That or the fact is that diesel D2's really aren't that fast and just learn to live with it Try driving someone else's before you try and fix a problem that may not even exist.

    MAP and MAF Sensors

While a lot of this is true.

    First eliminate fuel. Then:

Try cleaning your MAF and your MAP sensors as it is easy to do and if it works then it is little effort for a lot of reward. One at a time, remove both before cleaning.

Use contact cleaner to clean them. Can get from Autoban, super cheap ect.

If you, or anyone else for that matter, do not know where to find the MAF and MAP sensors on the TD5 I hope the below will be helpful.

MAF - Mass Air flow Sensor. This is in the intake pipe between the air box and the turbo. It is located at the airbox end and has an arrow on the side to reflect the direction of airflow (into the engine).

MAP - Maniflold Absolute Pressure Sensor. Black sensor held into the top of the intake manifold with 2X 8mm screws. (have to remove engine cover to access)

As well as above , change your fuel filter before your fuel pump dies if it hasn't already , is it a flat spot or does it have no power from about 3000 rpm on?

thanks everyone ,it is only in that situation ,it is like it sticks in top gear and only gives me enough power to maintain that speed ,normally it has plenty of power .ill take out fuel and filter today and do sensors lets see what happens cheers again

My 2002 had a flat spot when I bought it, usually on "tip-in" after going down a hill and reapplying the accelerator.
I replaced the MAF and cleaned the MAF, but the problem although small was still there.
It was cured completely when I decarbonized the EGR valve and body which had heaps of gunk in it after 130KK without being cleaned.
    Regards Philip A
